Wake Up World

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Greg Bieck

You see it more and more these days
People dead set in their ways
Unwilling to bend, unwilling to change
Wake up, world

Times are troubled, times are tough
Don’t you think enough’s enough
Where’s compassion, where’s the love
Wake up, world

Chorus:
Stop a minute, do something different
Take what you’re given and give just a little more
Try to find what makes your life worth living for
Wake up, world
Wake up, world

Take a look around and see
All the hunger, hurt, and need
Crying out to you and me
Wake up, world

(Repeat Chorus)

Someday soon this light will fade
Will we die with our mistakes
It’s not too hard, it’s not too late
Wake up, world

Wake up, world
Wake up, world
Stop for a minute, do something different
Wake up, world

Still Beautiful

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Casey Moynihan,
Christy Long Hoskins

You still laugh the same still act the came
As the very first time I called your name
At that cabana bar down at Spring Break
Withe a flower in your hair and sun on your face
The breeze the beach the ocean waves
Fallin' in love in just three days
Swore I'd never let you go
And I've never let you go

You're still beautiful as the day we met
I know a lot has changed but you don't forget
You'll always be that girl wtih the golden tan
Kickin' up the snow white sand
Blowin' kisses back at me
Yeah that's who I see
You're still beautiful

Look at you now there on the couch
Tryin' to get the permanent marker out
No make up on kids runnin' around
Still makin' a home outta this old house
Bubble baths and ABC's
Hearin' you sing your kids to sleep
I know you ton'd think you are
Oh but girl you are

Still beautiful...

While You Wait

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Ashley Gorley

You can get to know a stranger
Watch the clock and just get mad
Pull out your phone
And check on Mom and Dad

You can worry ‘bout tomorrow
And the money you didn’t make
Or stop and thank the Lord
For one more day
While you wait

In the bank or in a grocery
Out in traffic on the road
You’re waitin’ almost
Anywhere you go

You can wait for love to find you
You can wait for that big break
Or count up every chance
You didn’t take
While you wait

Chorus:
You know life is one long line
If you want to
You can waste a lot of time
It’s a choice that you make
What you do
While you wait
Now I’m a firm believer
That life ain’t over when we’re gone
We leave this world behind
And we move on

You can stand there at the station
With your ticker for the train
While the seconds turn to years
Then fade away
You can chance the world
Or leave it just the same
While you wait

(Repeat Chorus)

A Good Day

Written by: Bryan Wayne

Eight year old stands at the plate
One base hit'll win the game
Swings that bat with all his might
He's still grinnin' when mom and dad
Tuck him in that night

Chorus:
You only get so many in this life
When it feels like everything you do goes right
And years from now you can still look back and say
That right there....  Was a good day

Twenty second day of June
Man and woman say I do
With friends and family all around
They laugh and dance long after
The Summer sun goes down

(Repeat Chorus)

Like miles down a forgotten road
Most of 'em come and then they go
Oh but every now and then
You get one you hope won't ever end

(Repeat Chorus)

Simplify

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Big Kenny, John Rich

Little boys and girls
Livin’ lost in the world
Guess their mommas and their papas
Just forgot how to love them
Sad people everywhere
Thinking nobody cares
How we ever gonna reach
Each and every one of them

Chorus:
Oh the complicated nature
In the way this world revolves
Can trick us into thinking
We’ve got problems we can’t solve
We gotta get back to the basics
Break it down to black and white
Take a little time, rewind
And simplify

Open up your hearts
Just one little spark
Can ignite that fire
That’ll guide us to heaven
Right here, right now
Everybody sing loud
And one by one
We can help them together

(Chorus x2)

No More Rainy Days

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Bonnie Baker

More and more here lately
I’ve been thinkin’ ‘bout what I’m doin’
I’ve been wonderin’ if I’m doin’ enough
It’s so easy to say I’m busy
I’ll get to it tomorrow

Chorus:
But what if I’m wrong, what if it don’t
What if there’s no more rainy days
What if all I’ve been savin’ for
And waitin’ for
Isn’t here anymore
Would I be proud, would I be happy
Would I be more than satisfied
Would I leave knowin’ deep inside
That I lived my life
Like there’s no more rainy days

Like the sun, am I still burnin’
Full of passion and desire
Can I say it with conviction
That I do the best I can
Do I come right out and tell you
How much I really love you
Or keep thinkin’ that
I’ll have another chance

(Chorus)
Would I be proud, would I be happy
Would I be more than satisfied
Would I leave knowin’ deep inside
That I lived my life
Do I live my life
Like there’s no more rainy days

Fly

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Big Kenny

If you had just one day
‘Til the breath left your body
‘Til the Lord took your soul
Would you still be afraid
To live in the moment
To let it all go

Who knows what tomorrow’s
Gonna bring
What are you waiting for
Spread your wings

Chorus:
Fly in the rainbows
And soar through the blue
Of the perfect and beautiful
Sky where all of your dreams
And the mountains don’t seem so high
Fly

Take a leap of faith
The shining star that you wished on
Is within your reach
Let your heart lead the way
Nothing can hold you down
If you just believe

Who knows what tomorrow’s
Gonna bring
What are you waiting for
Spread your wings

(Repeat Chorus)

There’s no limit
To what you can do
If you try

(Repeat Chorus)

The Forever Kind

Written by: Bryan Wayne, David White

For some it’s so elusive
While others let it slip
Right through their fingers
Never knowing
They were holding in their hands

Might be right around the corner
Might be miles away
There ain’t no rhyme or reason
It’s something I may never understand

Chorus:
I keep hoping, I keep praying
That one day I’m gonna find
Love that lasts until
The end of time
The forever kind

They tell me to be patient
It always happens
When your heart stops looking
Don’t worry
Just trust the hands of fate
Oh, but how can I stop searching
For the only thing that
Everybody lives for
All I live for is to finally see her face

(Chorus x3)

Closer To Heaven

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Jason Blaine, Tebey Ottoh

I was just a kid I was scared to death
Dad was holding my hand I was holding my breath
We were on a plan to Denver it was my first time
It’s like he knew I was thinkin’ he said son we’ll be all right

Cuz we’re closer to heaven than we’ve ever been
High above the clouds floatin’ on the wind
There’s nothin’ more beautiful than
What you’re about to see
We’re closer to heaven you and me

I looked out my window from 40,000 feet
And swore that I saw angels underneath the wings
As I watched that sunset melt across the sky
Lost in all its wonder I said dad you were right

Cuz we’re closer to heaven than we’ve ever been
High above the clouds floatin’ on the wind
There’s nothin’ more beautiful than as far as I can see
We’re closer to heaven you and me

We got to her bedside grandma was fadin’ fast
Every word she whispered we knew could be her last
She told me that she loved me one last time
It’s like she knew what I was thinking
She said child I’ll be all right
I’ll be all right

Cuz I’m closer to heaven than I’ve ever been
I’ll be high above the clouds floatin’ on the wind
There’s nothin’ more beautiful than
Than what I’m about to see
I’m closer to heaven don’t cry for me

Priceless

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Chris DuBois

It was 307 down the left field line
I’d hit it to the fence a couple times
There I stood with two men out
Brian Baker on the mound
Staring me down
Well he hung me a curve
And I hit it so far
I swear it woulda gone
Out of Fenway Park
It sailed right over
The concession stand
Through the windshield
Of Mr. Winningham’s new minivan

I spent the next two months cutting grass
She asked and I said honey it’s a surprise
When I picked her up
I was certain she knew
What I was about to do
But she didn’t have a clue
That I’d rented the restaurant
Out for the night
Requested Sinatra and candlelight
I covered her eyes
‘Til we got through the door
There were rose petals
Scattered on the floor
And champagne poured

It was a princess cut
With a platinum band
In a velvet box
In my right hand
Spent a lot more than I planned
Ten thousand dollars and 45 cents
Looking up at my future wife
With her mouth wide open
And tears in her eyes
And knowin’ that I did it right
Was priceless

Now she’s telling everyone she sees
That she wants two or maybe three
And I laugh cause I’ve done the math
And I know what that means

There’s diapers and daycare
And ballerina shoes
Bunk beds, braces, and Boy Scout dues
Cars and college before you’re through
You spend 8 million dollars and 45 cents
But holdin’ their hands
And watching them grow
Teaching them
Every little thing you know
About love and life is so
Priceless

Keep On Livin’

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Adam Shoenfeld,
Jennifer Kennard

The Johnson family’s arm in arm
Siftin’ through their front yard
Trying to make some sense of everything

They find their smiles in a picture frame
They made it through the burnin’ flames
An’ that’s worth more to them than anything

But it still ain’t easy calling a hotel your home
It sure as hell ain’t easy losing everything you own

But they’re gonna keep on breathin’, keep believin’
Better days are up ahead
Keep on goin’, keep on hopin’
The tough times are gonna end
Keep on prayin’, keep the faith through
All that they’ve been given
An’ keep on livin’

He worked his way up to the top
His world changed when the bottom dropped
An’ they replaced his name on the door

Now he looks up from the classifieds
His wife can see it in his eyes
The disappointment’s deeper than the day before

An’ man, it ain’t easy, hearing no everyday
It sure as hell ain’t easy, staring over at his age

But they keep on breathin’, keep believin’
Better days are up ahead
Keep on goin’, keep on hopin’
The tough times are gonna end
Keep on prayin’, keep the faith through
All that they’ve been given
An’ keep on livin’

From acts of God, the ways of man
To things we just don’t understand
We can find a way to make it through

If we keep on breathin’, keep believin’
Better days are up ahead
Keep on goin’, keep on hopin’
The tough times are gonna end
Keep on prayin’, keep the faith through
All that we’ve been given
An’ keep on livin’

Just Wouldn't Leave It Alone

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Neil Thrasher

You were still here
You didn’t listen to a word I said
When I thought I made it clear
It wasn’t you
It was all me
After everything I’ve been through
Love was the last thing I needed
You had to keep on believing
You had to

Chorus:
Be the one, be the rock
Be the strength that will not let go
You could’ve run but that’s not you
You just kept on and on and on
Because you knew
Where my heart belongs
And thank God
You just wouldn’t leave it alone

You know my scars
You’ve seen my moods
All the baggage that I brought on board
Doesn’t seem to faze you
You took my hand
You touched my face
Put your soft warm lips
Against my neck
Took me to that place I’ve always
Dreamed of
Baby, your love
Makes me want to

(Repeat Chorus)

You could’ve run but that’s not you
You just kept on and on and on
Because you knew
Where my heart belongs
And thank God
You just wouldn’t leave it alone

Slow Time Down

Written by: Bryan Wayne, Noah Gordon, Jason Blaine

Lord, I don’t do this near enough
I know
And I’m driving so that’s why
My eyes ain’t closed
I wanna start by saying thanks
For all I have
But this life you gave
Is flying by so fast

Chorus:
And my dad ain’t getting any younger
And I don’t know how many summers
We’ve got left to fish out on the lake
And my baby girl is three years old
I can’t believe how much she’s grown
It won’t be long
Until I’m giving her away
I ain’t asking you to stop
Those hands on the clock
From spinning ‘round
But could you slow time down
Please just slow time down

You give me 24 good hours every day
Lord, I let way too many slip away
Every breath I get to take is up to you
But there’s still some things
I know I oughta do
I need to call up my best friend
We ain’t talked since I don’t know when
I could use a laugh
And we really should catch up
And I’d fall in love again each night
That angel that you made my wife
So fifty years
Won’t be nearly long enough
I ain’t asking you to stop
Those hands on the clock
From spinning ‘round
Could you slow time down
Please just slow time down

(Repeat Chorus)

What If She's An Angel

Written by: Bryan Wayne

There's a man standing on the corner
With a sign saying, "will work for food"
You know the man
You see him every morning
The one you never give your money to
You can sit there with your window rolled up
Wondering when the lights going to turn green
Never knowing what a couple more bucks
In his pocket might mean

Chorus:
What if he's an angel sent here from Heaven
And he's making certain that you're doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you going to pass that test
You can go on with your day to day
Trying to forget what you saw in his face
Knowing deep down it could have been his saving grace
What if he's an angel

There's a man
There's a woman
Living right above you in apartment G
There's a lot of noise coming from the ceiling
And it don't sound like harmony
You can sit there with your TV turned up
While the words and his anger fly
Come tomorrow when you see her with her shades on
Can you look her in the eye

(Repeat Chorus)

A little girl on daddy's lap
Hiding her disease with a baseball cap
You can turn the channel
Most people do
But what if you were sitting in her daddy's shoes

(Repeat Chorus)
